For my blog promo poster, I based it off a newspaper article format. The reason for this is a newspaper demands a grid, easy readibility and uses different font sizes, for headings, text, sub headings, This pretty much covers, the main points a design needs to have

Changes? if I was to do it again, getting the grid aligned alot better, then making some fine detailed edits to the photo. Apparently, my header type spacing neeeds work and looking at it now, yeah it does, things to watch out for in the future

For my poster design, I choose the quote, "worry often gives a small thing a big shadow"
In hindsight, I could have played with type settings more by using different heights to emphasize certain words, I suppose I didn't want to distract to much form the small worry down the bottom and the shadow prospective behind it

I'm happy with it but then again I could do more, which I will endeavour to do in the next assignment

First submitted assingment

My first piece of historical significance to my design career - My first handed in assignment :)

Not sure of the quality of it but the sheer azmament of me completing it was worth more than the mark (coz, theres always room for improvement)

And if only I could upload it, you could see it lol

Well I'll just have to show you the second, hmmm, first was very good, you will just have to believe me :)

Welcome to my first blog

Well, firstly, cheers :)

Secondly, this is my blog, I suppose I better say something interesting hey?

My current employment has lead to this point, I will put up some of designs that I have already produced for some of clients, I've also, now been given the opportunity to to step away from just webpage design and actually, design a brochure for a sprintcar racing team, to gain new sponsers.
I will defintely put that up when I complete it, here are some examples :)





So there you go, my next few blogs will be examples of some the work I have submitted, I'm not a keen sketcher, so I struggle with that but its fun learning
